Looking for a way to help kids understand the farm-city connection? With summer ending, and the first days of school starting throughout the country, this is a great spread teh word about the classroom activity kits that educate students about the importance of the interdependency between the people who produce and process our food and fiber, and the consumers who use it.

Farm-City Council has two kits that teachers can use to teach these important lessons. Both meet National Education Standards.

It's A Puzzlement is a classroom activity kit for grades K-6 on products made from cotton, wool and leather. Lessons are matched to National Standards.

S.L.I.C.E. is a classroom activity kit that focuses on the farm-city connection from production to marketing. It's also designed for grades K-6, and meets the National Social Study Standards.

Teachers can download the kits at the Farm-City web site, or order a printed copy from the Farm-City Council for $8 shipping and handling.
