Plenty of Smiles at Farm-City Day

No matter where they’re held, Farm-City events are sure to produce a bumper crop of smiles! These photos are from the annual Farm-City Day was held last month at the Hazlehurst, Georgia, farm of Herman and Corrine Sellers. It was the thirteenth year for the popular event.

Over the years, the Farm-City Day, which allowed visitors to savor the simplicity of life on the farm, has mushroomed to over thirty educational exhibits. They welcomed more than 800 children and 500 adults from Jeff Davis County, where the Sellers live, and four neighboring counties.

Young "farmers" learned all about hogs, digging potatoes, picking peaches, milking cows and more. The Sellers, in conjunction with the Hazlehurst Chamber of Commerce and the Jeff County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee and Promotion and Education Committee, organized the event.
