National Farm-City Council 32-page Tips, Tools and Ideas Booklet

A 31-page booklet with tips, tools and ideas for organizing a successful Farm-City event is available in in PDF format below in both a complete version and a version broekn up into the various sections.

This booklet has 31 complete pages full of ideas and suggestions for putting on all types of Farm-City events, whether large or small.  It is primarily the work of Sherri Butters, a member of our national board of directors and chair of the Tioga County, PA, Farm-City Day. Sherri has been involved with Farm-City activities for years and has pulled together her ideas and thoughts from the successful programs they have had over the years.

The brochure also draws upon ideas and suggestions that have come forward from Farm-City organizations around the country, including photographs, checklists, and "do and don't" suggestions. There are 20 different sections in the book and each is available as a separate, downloadable and printable PDF file. Users will need Adobe Acrobat to download the materials. He adds that Acrobat is available for free and is downloadable as well.

By putting the book up in sections, viewers can pick and choose the elements they feel are of most interest to them and then run them off for local printing if they want to.
